Did you take part in the 10th and final Paul Trigwell Island Run (PTIR)??? If so, well done and congratulations on completing it. Once again the island come up trumps and supported this fantastic local event for the final time and if you took part or was at the finish line you would have seen, so did we. Not only is one of our team members (Sam)on the committee for the PTIR we even managed to get the boss (Christine) into work on a early on a Sunday morning inflating 200 balloons to create a fantastic finish line and end to the Paul Trigwell Island Run.

As you are probably aware that Balloonatic has been involved in the PTIR for the past 4 years, we have been one of the main collection/drop off points for registrations forms and help the committee do the main job of collecting in sponsorship money. Being it was the final run and a theme of celebration we wanted to get involved that little bit more and help the PTIR go out with a bang (excuse the pun). We decided to create a spiral arch comprising of 200 yellow and blue balloons, not only did this help create the feel of ‘celebration’ at the finish line with the crowds cheering on the runners, it also created a sense of achievement for the runners to finish under our huge arch.

Must say a big thank you to Fiona Trigwell for letting us be part of the PTIR and thank you to Christine, Jo and Kevin for giving up their Sunday morning making and erecting the arch (I think they got a McDonalds breakfast out of it).
